RECENT WORK BLOG
I update these with recent projects when I feel like it. Some blog posts I want to keep on this website for longer until I make full pages for them. Will try to only keep 4 articles at a time ☺︎ These also arent necessarily in chronological order, i want it to look kinda nice.

Underground hip-hop artist MAXFOR and I agreed to use my ‘Diving Ducks’ poster, as an album cover for his recent project ‘GO THERE’. This project went through many variations; you can see them

Part of our Design for Process University Module, we were asked to watch an independent film, and create an outcome with it in mind, with the limitation that this outcome could NOT be a movie poster or review. Throughout my viewing of ‘Requiem for a Dream’, I couldnt get the song ‘Hell is Round the Corner’ by Tricky out of my head. Luckily, the vibe of the movie matched the song incredibly, inspiring me to create a 1-Minute visual piece acting as a lyrical music video to the song, using visuals and elements from the movie.

Another brief as part of our Design for Process Module led us down the path of film photography, we were briefed with taking 24 different photos, based on a range of subjects/emotions we were provided. This was my first time shooting with film, and taught me alot about the methods of it. I used Cinefilm 400d filmstock, with an Olympus Superzoom Point-and-Shoot film camera. During our crit in session, I was happily suprised by how many of my shots (14/24) were selected by individuals as a piece that was notable for one of 4 categories (Composition, Aesthetic, Interpretation, Communication)

Part of our Design for Practice University Module. We were tasked with creating an outcome based on one of our answers from an abstract interview. One of my answers was about music and record players as a part of a daily ritual. I wanted to create an outcome that could be used on a website; so I used by ‘Flower’ logo as a base, and split it up into it’s layers and used After Effects to make the base spin at 33 1/3 RPM (Typical Record Player Spin), and for the centre band to morph slightly at a low frame rate. After exporting this sequence as a GIF in After Effects, I brought it into Photoshop and edited the GIF using the timeline feature, adding texture, and getting the colours right.
