FACE YOUR FEARS is an experimental album cover piece developed after my 2-month long trip solo-travelling Japan and South-Korea. I set off on this trip with only my backpack with almost zero planning, and over my travels documented, and recorded textures, images, writing, and more. The main piece which inspired this piece was from a Godzilla art book. The Godzilla franchise has always been an interest of mine and I was extremely excited to design an outcome using elements from it.
The name, FACE YOUR FEARS, not only comes from the trip itself being an incredibly new experience for myself, but also paying homage to Godzilla’s origins as a message and representation of nuclear war and the Atom Bombs, during my travels I found myself in Hiroshima, seeing how this city stands and has rebuilt after WW2 was incredible.
